Meta launched a new line of AI-powered smart glasses called Meta Glasses on June 23, 2026, marking the company’s first in-house designed eyewear and signaling a shift away from its previous Ray-Ban and Oakley partnerships with EssilorLuxottica. The collection starts at $299 and includes three frame styles: the Meta Adventurer, Meta Fury, and a slim oval design created in collaboration with influencer Kylie Jenner priced at $399.
The glasses come in 26 style combinations across colors and lens options and are compatible with prescription lenses. All models feature Meta AI powered by Muse Spark, Meta’s newest AI model, along with a 12MP ultrawide camera, open-ear speakers, and over 8 hours of battery life. Users can invoke Meta AI with a dedicated action button for hands-free photo and video capture, real-time translation, and daily task management.
In partnership with EssilorLuxottica, Meta built the glasses with three-way adjustable nose pads and advanced multi-mic array technology for wind noise reduction. The Kylie Jenner edition includes her voice for the AI assistant and a decorative gem embedded in one lens. The glasses launched on June 23 at Meta.com, Best Buy, Amazon, Lenscrafters, Sunglass Hut, and select retailers in multiple countries.
Meta had dominated the smart glasses market before this launch. According to Counterpoint Research, Meta held a 73% share of global smart glasses sales in the first half of 2025. The previous generation, Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2), launched in September 2023 and saw its revenue triple year-over-year, with EssilorLuxottica reporting over 7 million units sold in 2025. The new Meta Glasses undercut the company’s premium Ray-Ban Display model, which launched in September 2025 at $799 and includes a built-in display.
The glasses feature dynamic photo, a new software feature that automatically captures multiple frames and recommends the best one. Pedestrian navigation is coming soon for displayless glasses, and Meta is adding support for 14 new languages to live translation, including Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin), Hindi, and Korean. The company continues to expand its AI wearables strategy, with these glasses representing a major step toward making AI accessible through everyday eyewear.
