Regional Economic Development Project – Technical Support for small and medium businesses East Region Kosovo Category: Project Period: August 2011 - December 2011 Donor/Client: European Commission / CARE Regional Economic Development project (RED) funded by European Union, managed by European Commission Liaison Office in Kosovo, implemented by CARE International in partnership with Gjilan Municipality, has contracted ECIKS to support recently established business centre in Gjilan on reaching broader objective in terms of creating a suitable climate for business in regional level. To improve economic development in eastern region of Kosovo, the RED project has established Business Centre which aim is to help men and women who aspire to start a new business, but also to help expansion of existing businesses and enterprises by creating more conducive business environment. The center is supporting the creation of employment, together with targeted business activities and farmers. The need for consultancy and training arises from the need for progress, competition, adaptation and qualification. In order to accomplish the needs of Business Center, ECIKS has carried out following training modules, which were attended by over 135 entrepreneurs: Module 1: Entrepreneurial Skills Module 2: Accounting and Financial Development and Management Module 3: Business Strategy Development Module 4: Value Chain Analysis Module 5: Business Plan Writing Module 6: Business Environment Module 7: Business Ethics Module 8: Marketing and Communication Module 9: Leadership |
