Croatia Airlines flies to Kosovo capital
Prishtina, KOSOVO - Croatia’s national airline will begin direct flights to Kosovo’s capital from June 16, officials say.
The agreement for launching flights between Zagreb and the Kosovo capital was signed on Tuesday between Pristina International Airport and Croatia Airlines, which will operate three times a week.
“By offering quality and safe services, we aim to increase the number of travellers as well as attract more air companies to fly from and to Pristina,” the acting managing director of Pristina Airport, Agron Mustafa said.
Croatia Airlines will be the latest company that will enable direct and regular flights to and from Pristina, and according to its marketing chief, Srecko Simonovic, they will serve other connecting flights to certain destinations.
A large number of Kosovar tourists traditionally opt for spending their vacations along Croatia’s Adriatic coast and these flights are expected to ease their travel.
Currently many national carriers, such as Austrian Airlines, Slovenia’s Adria Airways, British Airways, Turkish Airlines and Hungary’s Malev operate regular flights to and from Pristina.
