Kosovo: Slovenians to manage "Kasabank"


Prishtina, 09 May 2007 - The new owner of the Kosovar “Kasabank”, “Nova Lubljanska Banka” of Slovenia has already begun restructuring the leadership of the commercial bank. The Slovenian bank that, together with another Slovenian bank “Faktor Banka”, has purchased 50.14% of shares of "Kasabank, holds now the majority of shares.

According to sources, during a meeting that was held on the 26th of April, the old leadership resigned and new members of the board were appointed. The board now consists of four Slovenians and one Kosovar. The same sources confirm that the Slovenians will shortly conduct the payment for the purchased shares and immediately begin implementing an agreement to take over the bank.
