World Bank to support further projects in Kosovo

Prishtina, April 21, 2005 – World Bank (WB) representative in Prishtina, Kanthar Shankar said on Wednesday that they would assist Kosovo in four more important projects, including a project in the area of energy.

Shankar made those comments following a meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister, Bajram Kosumi. He said that the project in energy is foreseen to be funded with €10 million.

“We have discussed with the Prime Minister for the past and the future projects. Since I have assumed the post here the WB has assisted Kosovo with € 95 million, and we will continue with investments and technical assistance,” he said.
