Far-right activist Laura Loomer faces widespread backlash after spending the weekend posting racist attacks against five Black women in politics, including Florida Democratic Senate nominee Angie Nixon and U.S. Representatives Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Cori Bush, as well as Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
In a video posted to X on Friday, Loomer described the five women as “all ghetto, entitled, race-obsessed, destructive black BITCHES who are completely unfit for the power they hold.” She then spent hours escalating the attacks with additional posts using racial slurs and mocking language.
Nixon responded by recalling a bizarre 2024 promotional video in which Loomer ate a “human-grade” bison organ dog food topper on camera. “Girl. You ate dog food on camera,” Nixon wrote. “In the words of @IAMQUEENLATIFAH, ‘Who you calling a bitch?'” When Nixon told Loomer to call her “Representative” — or, after November, “Senator” — Loomer replied, “Ok Shaniqua,” escalating the racist language further.
The attack prompted a rare public rebuke from Marjorie Taylor Greene, the former Georgia congresswoman and Trump ally. Greene described Loomer’s rhetoric as hateful and racist, accusing Trump and the Republican Party of keeping Loomer in their “inner circle.” According to Greene, the attacks were damaging Republican Sen. Ashley Moody, who faces Nixon in November. “I 1000% denounce Laura Loomer and her nasty, hateful, racists comments,” Greene wrote. “This is Trump’s new MAGA and Republican Party and I want nothing to do with it.”
Loomer responded to Greene’s criticism by proving the point. Across at least five additional posts on Sunday, she repeatedly deployed variations of the same slur, branded Greene “Marjorie Traitor Greene,” and declared, “I am free to say whatever I want.” In one post, Loomer used the slur five times and said “ghetto” Black women in Congress had “gotten away with way too much.” She also attacked Nixon’s bookstore for distributing emergency contraception and sexually shamed its patrons. “I meant every word I said about Angie,” Loomer wrote.
Nixon, a Jacksonville state representative, defeated retired Army Lt. Col. Alex Vindman recently in a stunning Democratic primary upset. If elected, she would become Florida’s first Black U.S. senator.
Loomer’s latest attacks are consistent with a documented history of racist rhetoric. She has previously attacked Vice President Kamala Harris for her Indian heritage, called Rep. Jasmine Crockett a “ghetto Black b—h,” and made racist comments about Indians and Indian-origin professionals. In 2018, she was permanently banned from Twitter after criticizing then-incoming Representative Ilhan Omar and her Muslim faith.
