Rep. Nancy Mace unveiled her new YouTube talk show “Get Maced” on August 16, 2026, teasing a next chapter in commentary and media as she prepares to leave Congress in January 2027 after losing her bid for South Carolina governor.
The show’s promotional videos, posted on Mace’s YouTube channel, feature the 48-year-old congresswoman in a sleeveless format revealing multiple new tattoos on both arms, according to reporting from Mediaite and FITSNews. The intro describes the program as a space where “a Bulldog leaves Washington” to “take the fight to the people,” and Mace has already posted content addressing current events including the WNBA and what she characterizes as a “communist threat” to the United States.

Mace’s tattoos have become a visible symbol of her post-political identity. She told Politico in February 2026 that she got inked to feel “the pain that I need to feel,” and described the tattoos as a way to reclaim her body. According to FITSNews, one tattoo references the opening line of Virginia Woolf’s novel “Mrs. Dalloway”: “Mrs. Dalloway said she would buy the flowers herself.”
In an August 14 interview with WCSC TV-5 (CBS Charleston), Mace discussed her immediate post-Congress plans. She said she is “very limited in what I can explore right now” because members of Congress cannot sign contracts for jobs until after leaving office. “I love the business space. We’ll probably start some companies,” she said, adding that she looks forward to spending more time with family and continuing to advocate for conservative causes.
Mace emphasized she will finish her congressional term with intensity. “I’m going to finish out my term as hard as I started. So we are still filing two to three bills a week, and I am going to run through the tape,” she told the outlet. “If any constituents need anything from now until the end of the year, please, God, call my office.”

Mace’s media venture comes as a record number of lawmakers are departing Congress. According to NBC News, 53 House members announced plans not to seek reelection ahead of the 2026 midterms, exceeding the 52 who departed before the 2018 midterms. Mace’s own exit followed her loss in South Carolina’s Republican gubernatorial primary on June 9, 2026, where she finished a distant fifth.
The congresswoman’s shift to media commentary reflects her stated comfort with public debate. “I do love the commentary, and I can say more now,” she told WCSC. “Not that I had a filter before, but it’s even more freeing and liberating now that I am not running again. I’m sleeping better at night.”
