Jack Schlossberg opens up on dating life ahead of NY-12 primary

Jack Schlossberg, the 33-year-old grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, opened up about his dating life ahead of the New York 12th Congressional District Democratic primary, telling People magazine he is “looking for love” despite his demanding campaign schedule.

“I need your readers to know this: I am looking for love,” Schlossberg said in an exclusive interview with People published June 10, 2026. “I’m not looking for casual anything. I wanna find her. I want to find her, I want to meet her, I wanna fall in love. I want to go on dates. I want to go on trips. I wanna figure out what we’re interested in. I wanna talk. I want to stay up late talking. I want to find my soulmate.”

Schlossberg confirmed he remains single as he navigates one of the most competitive races in New York politics. The Kennedy scion is seeking to represent New York’s 12th Congressional District, a heavily Democratic Manhattan seat being vacated by retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler. The primary election is scheduled for June 23, 2026.

During a June 9 appearance on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show, Schlossberg revealed that his exclusive dating app Raya account has been “not deactivated, but paused” as he focuses on his congressional bid. He also quipped about his relationship status, saying “the campaign is my girlfriend,” adding with humor, “And boy, this is a give and take. I give, she takes.”

The candidate has previously joked about his limited dating prospects on social media, making his personal life a topic of public conversation as he campaigns. Despite his busy schedule—which he described as waking at 4:30 a.m. for the gym, attending meetings all day, and canvassing until 9 p.m.—Schlossberg emphasized his genuine desire for a serious relationship. “I haven’t seen any of my friends in about five years,” he told People, underscoring the intensity of his campaign focus.

Schlossberg’s congressional race features a crowded Democratic primary field including former Republican lawyer George Conway, Assembly Member Micah Lasher, and other candidates. The race has drawn significant attention due to Schlossberg’s Kennedy family name and his prominent social media presence as a political commentator, though he is positioning himself as a generational change candidate focused on opposition to the Trump administration.
