Rich Products Corp. has voluntarily recalled 6,408 cases—approximately 160,200 pounds—of Farm Rich Pizza Cheese Crunchers due to potential metal contamination, the FDA announced. The recall affects products sold across 21 states: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
The recall was initiated on May 19, 2026, but the FDA formally classified it as a Class II recall on June 9, 2026. Consumers can identify the affected product by its lot number 003029976, UPC code 041322652256, and “best by” date of July 30, 2027.
A Class II recall means use of or exposure to the product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences, according to FDA guidance. The agency does not indicate that any illnesses have been reported so far.
Consumers who have purchased the recalled Farm Rich Pizza Cheese Crunchers are advised not to consume them and should discard the product or return it to the original place of purchase. The frozen snacks are typically sold at major retailers including Walmart, Lidl, and Dollar General.
Metal contamination recalls have become increasingly common in frozen food products. In October 2025, Hormel Foods recalled approximately 4.9 million pounds of Fire Braised Meats frozen chicken products over possible metal contamination, and in February 2025, the FDA issued a Class II recall for over 2 million MadeGood granola bars due to the same hazard.
