Supplemental Security Income November payout: what beneficiaries should check

Supplemental security income November payout recipients should check that their SSI deposit for November 2026 is scheduled to arrive early on Friday, October 30, because November 1 falls on a Sunday, according to the SSA payment calendar.

The SSA’s official 2026 payment schedule shows SSI is normally paid on the 1st of the month and that when the 1st falls on a weekend the agency issues the payment on the previous business day, which makes October 30 the November SSI deposit date this year (SSA payment schedule).

For Social Security (non-SSI) beneficiaries the November cycle uses birthday-based Wednesdays: in November 2026 payments land on November 3, Tuesday November 10 (moved up a day because Veterans Day is Wednesday the 11th), November 18 and November 25, per SSA rules and independent calendar guides that checked the agency calendar (GrantshubUSA).

Beneficiaries who filed before May 1, 1997, or who receive both Social Security and SSI, are in the “3rd-of-the-month” group and will see their November payment on November 3, while SSI-only recipients get the November payment on October 30; be careful not to treat the early deposit as extra money for October.

Separately, SSA announced a 3.6 percent cost-of-living adjustment for 2027; SSA says increased payments for SSI recipients will begin on December 31, 2026, so the COLA will not affect the November SSI deposit (SSA press release).

What to check: confirm which cycle applies to you (SSI on the 1st, birthday-based Wednesdays, or the 3rd-of-the-month group); watch your bank for the October 30 deposit if you get SSI; and sign in to your mySocialSecurity account to view notices and COLA messages when they appear in late November or December, per SSA guidance.

If your payment does not arrive, SSA advises allowing three additional mailing days for paper checks and contacting your bank for direct-deposit issues before calling SSA at 1-800-772-1213 or checking your mySocial Security account options to switch to electronic delivery.
