Danone USA is voluntarily recalling So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster frozen dessert pints in the US after the FDA warned the products may contain small stones or other hard objects, the company and the agency said.
The recall covers Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert pints with SKU 136603 and UPC 744473476138; Danone said the issue was identified through consumer complaints and the FDA posted the company announcement on September 15, 2026.
Danone said the recall applies to products with best-by dates on and before April 3, 2028 and that only the Salted Caramel Cluster flavor and specified codes are affected; it told consumers not to eat the product and to contact its consumer care line for a coupon or refund.
Retail distribution was nationwide, according to the FDA notice, and Danone said it is working with retail partners to remove affected product from shelves. The FDA posted product photos and the full list of affected codes on its recall page.
Why this matters: foreign objects such as small stones in cashew inclusions present a choking or dental risk if ingested, and consumer complaints are a common trigger for voluntary recalls, the company told the FDA in its announcement.
