Bernice Yuen crowned Miss Hong Kong 2026 after pageant final

Bernice Yuen Sze-hang, a 26-year-old theme park performer and actress, was crowned Miss Hong Kong 2026 on Sunday night, outshining 11 other finalists in the pageant held at TVB City in Tseung Kwan O.

Yuen, who graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University with a degree in communications, has worked across multiple entertainment roles as a theme park performer, event host, stage actress, and model. Her diverse background in the entertainment industry gave her a competitive edge during the competition.

First runner-up Ada Tang, a fashion industry worker, and second runner-up Scarlett Li, an ESG consultant, rounded out the top three finalists. The competition featured 12 contestants vying for the crown in the 54th edition of the Miss Hong Kong Pageant.

Stacey Chan, the reigning Miss Hong Kong 2025, crowned her successor during the televised final. The pageant has been a major cultural institution in Hong Kong for decades, with roots tracing back to 1946 as an international charity swimming competition. Television Broadcasts Limited acquired the pageant in 1973 and has organized it annually since then, making it one of the oldest and most established beauty pageants globally.

The pageant has long served as a launching pad for entertainment careers in Hong Kong. Past winners have gone on to become prominent actresses, singers, and television personalities, with the title often leading to TVB contracts and broader opportunities in the entertainment industry.
