Alex Cooper hosts Big Al’s Block Party at Fenway on Aug. 15

Alex Cooper, host of the Call Her Daddy podcast, is bringing Big Al’s Block Party back to Fenway Park on Friday, August 15, for a second year of takeover festivities across Lansdowne Street. The event will feature carnival games, live music, giveaways, and exclusive Unwell Hydration drink experiences ahead of the Red Sox game against the Miami Marlins at 7:10 p.m.

Cooper, who founded the Unwell Network and its beverage subsidiary Unwell Hydration, will oversee a pregame activation across five iconic Boston bars: Game On, Bleacher Bar, The Lansdowne Pub, Bill’s Bar, and Loretta’s Last Call. Each location will be themed to different Unwell Hydration flavors and staffed by talent from the Unwell network, offering exclusive collectibles, snacks, and drinks to Grand Slam Package ticket holders.

The first-ever Big Al’s Block Party debuted in August 2025 and became a cultural moment for Cooper’s fanbase, known as the “Daddy Gang.” According to multiple reports from that inaugural event, the takeover of Lansdowne Street drew large crowds and generated significant social media buzz, establishing the event as a marquee Boston experience.

Cooper’s Call Her Daddy ranks as the second-most listened-to podcast on Spotify globally, averaging approximately 5 million weekly listeners. The podcast, which she co-created in 2018, focuses on comedy, advice, and candid conversations on dating, relationships, and personal topics. Beyond podcasting, Cooper has expanded into live events, merchandise, and her Unwell Hydration product line, which launched in late 2024 as a functional electrolyte beverage marketed toward her core audience.

Ticket packages for the August 15 event include Jersey Collab Tickets, which bundle a game ticket with a limited-edition Unwell x Red Sox pullover jersey and block party access. The Grand Slam Package, priced at $100 additional to the game ticket, adds access to the Hydration Pregame across the five bars, with assigned starting locations shared to purchasers within 48 hours of game day. According to the Red Sox, the Grand Slam Package has sold out, though Jersey Collab Tickets remain available through the promotional link on MLB.com.

Patrick Lyons, owner of the Lyons Group, which manages several of Fenway’s iconic bars, stated in a Boston.com article that the partnership aims to create “a cultural moment that will have people talking long after the last pitch is thrown.” The event reflects Cooper’s broader strategy of leveraging her podcast platform and fanbase to drive branded experiences and product visibility in major markets.
