Figma raised its 2026 full-year revenue guidance to between $1.42 billion and $1.43 billion, ahead of the design software company’s Q2 earnings call scheduled for 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET today, signaling stronger-than-expected demand for its AI-powered design tools.
The guidance raise, announced July 30, represents a significant increase from the company’s prior outlook of $1.36 billion to $1.37 billion, reflecting approximately $50 million in upside. At the midpoint, the new range implies about 35% year-over-year revenue growth for the full year.
Figma’s momentum stems largely from strong adoption of its AI credit monetization model, which the company introduced in March 2026. Chief Financial Officer Praveer Melwani previously noted that more than 75% of higher-tier customers who exceeded their free AI credit limits opted to purchase additional credits, validating the company’s strategy to generate incremental revenue from artificial intelligence features.

In the first quarter, Figma reported revenue of $333.4 million, up 46% year-over-year and above its prior guidance range. The company guided for Q2 revenue between $348 million and $350 million, implying 40% year-over-year growth at the midpoint. Strong Q1 results and raised guidance drove Figma stock up 13% after hours in May, though the stock has faced broader pressure in 2026 amid concerns about AI-driven design competition.
The design software market has intensified with new entrants. Anthropic launched Claude Design in April 2026, offering AI-assisted visual creation capabilities to subscribers. However, Figma’s large existing user base, strong net dollar retention rate of 139% in Q1, and successful monetization of AI features have positioned the company to maintain its market leadership despite competitive threats.

Today’s earnings call will provide investors with Q2 results, full-year guidance confirmation or potential further updates, and management commentary on AI adoption trends and competitive dynamics. Shopify also reports Q2 earnings today, making August 5 a significant day for software earnings. Other software companies have recently beaten earnings estimates and raised guidance, suggesting strength in the sector despite macroeconomic uncertainty.
