Corey Heim finished 12th in the 2026 Brickyard 400 on Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, completing a challenging day for the 23XI Racing development driver in the No. 67 Toyota.
Heim started the race from the 7th position after qualifying at 186.598 mph during Saturday’s single-lap session. Despite a competitive qualifying effort, the race did not unfold as hoped for the young driver as he navigated the 160-lap event on the 2.5-mile oval.
The 12th-place finish marks a modest result for Heim, who has shown considerable promise in his part-time NASCAR Cup Series schedule with 23XI Racing this season. Earlier in June, Heim captured his breakthrough first Cup Series victory at Naval Base Coronado in his 13th career Cup start, demonstrating his capability to compete at the highest level.
Heim’s 2026 campaign with 23XI Racing represents an important development phase for the former NASCAR Truck Series champion. The team announced in May that Heim would transition to a full-time Cup Series ride beginning in 2027, a significant step in his racing career.
