PT Organics Limited recalled select Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics Banana & Strawberry fruit pouches on July 21, 2026, over the potential for soft plastic to contaminate the snacks sold at major retailers nationwide.
The recall affects 4-ounce pouches sold exclusively through Kroger, Meijer, and Target between March 6 and July 13, 2026. PT Organics, based in Lake Oswego, Oregon, initiated the voluntary recall after its packaging supplier notified the company of defective pouches. The company’s inspections of finished products made with the recalled packaging confirmed the presence of a strand of soft, food-grade plastic attached to the inside of some pouches.
Consumers can identify affected products by checking for barcode 8 15367 01078 0 and lane number ‘4’ printed on the rear right-hand side seam of the pouch. Best-before dates on the recalled pouches are 01/19/2027, 01/20/2027, 03/17/2027, 03/18/2027, 05/14/2027, or 05/15/2027. The FDA has reported no injuries linked to the recall.
