American Airlines plans 37,000-square-foot Admirals Club in Terminal C at DFW

American Airlines unveiled plans on July 20 for a 37,000-square-foot Admirals Club in Terminal C at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, marking the largest lounge in the airline’s network. The new space, located near the Terminal C Skylink station for convenient traveler access, will offer a significant expansion of premium amenities at DFW, the airline’s largest hub.

The new lounge will feature chef-inspired menu offerings and expanded all-day food selections, including an elevated charcuterie program. Passengers will also enjoy a premium beverage program showcasing specialty cocktails, spirits, wines, local favorites, Champagne Bollinger, and Lavazza coffee, according to American’s announcement.

The 37,000-square-foot lounge dwarfs American’s existing premium spaces at DFW. The Flagship Lounge in Terminal D spans approximately 23,000 square feet, making the new Admirals Club roughly 60% larger. The expansion reflects American’s broader strategy to enhance its lounge network across multiple hubs. In March 2026, the airline announced a 12,000-square-foot Admirals Club at Austin, roughly double the size of its previous lounge there. A 10,000-square-foot expansion at Chicago O’Hare followed in February 2026, replacing a 5,000-square-foot space.

The Terminal C lounge is one of three premium announcements at DFW. American also plans a dedicated Flagship check-in experience in Terminal D, opening later this year, which will offer eligible customers a private check-in environment and individual assistance from team members. Additionally, a Provisions by Admirals Club grab-and-go lounge will debut in the airline’s future Terminal F, providing streamlined options for travelers on the move.

DFW serves as the engine of American’s global network, handling more than 930 peak daily departures and accounting for more than 30% of the airline’s daily connecting customers and checked bags. The lounge investments underscore American’s commitment to its largest hub, complementing other recent upgrades including a new 13-bank check-in structure and electronic boarding gates.
