OnePay launched personal loans up to $50,000 through a new partnership with Upgrade, the fintech lender announced on July 20, 2026. Customers can apply for loans ranging from $1,000 to $50,000 directly in the OnePay app, with annual percentage rates from 7.74% to 35.99% depending on eligibility.
The fully integrated product allows OnePay users to check rates in minutes, receive and accept offers, and manage repayment without leaving the app. Customers who bank through OnePay may receive funds as soon as the same day, according to the company’s newsroom announcement.
The partnership reflects a broader trend in fintech of embedding lending directly into consumer apps. OnePay, which has reached 6 million monthly active users and a $4 billion valuation, sought to expand its financial services beyond everyday banking. “Getting access to credit in America today is harder than it should be,” said Omer Ismail, CEO of OnePay, in a statement. “It’s never been more important to give consumers access to financing that’s simple, transparent, and meets them where they already are.”
Upgrade, the San Francisco-based fintech founded in 2017, has delivered over $50 billion in credit to more than 8 million customers since its inception. The company operates through partnerships with FDIC-insured banks including Cross River Bank and Celtic Bank, which originate and service the loans. Renaud Laplanche, Upgrade’s co-founder and CEO, said the OnePay partnership expands access: “Our personal loans offer consumers the breathing room they need to get on the best financial path. We’re proud that this partnership makes that resource more accessible to millions of OnePay customers.”
OnePay’s personal loans carry origination fees ranging from 1.85% to 9.99%, according to OnePay’s help center. The company positions the product for debt consolidation, major purchases, and unexpected costs. By leveraging customer information already shared with OnePay, the application process is designed to minimize friction and reduce repetitive data entry.
