The Minnesota Twins and Philadelphia Phillies unveiled their special uniforms for the 2026 Field of Dreams game, set for August 13 in Dyersville, Iowa, with both teams drawing from their franchise histories for throwback designs.
The Twins will wear all-white uniforms with navy blue pinstripes, featuring a navy-blue “Twins” wordmark with red trim across the chest. The tail of the “s” curves to underline the team name, a design created in 1961. The team will also display the “Minnie and Paul” logo on a sleeve patch, a mascot that appeared on the Twins’ home uniforms from 1961 to 1986 and road uniforms from 1961 to 1971 and 1973 to 1986, according to ESPN.
Philadelphia’s design draws from the road uniforms worn from 1939 to 1941, featuring a gray base with a slanted red “Phillies” wordmark outlined in navy. The Phillies’ sleeve patch replicates the 1939 Baseball Centennial logo, which the team wore when the league celebrated what was then believed to be baseball’s centennial anniversary, ESPN reported.
The Field of Dreams game has become a marquee regular-season event. The first game took place in 2021 when the Chicago White Sox defeated the New York Yankees 9-8, a result that established the site as a memorable destination for throwback uniforms and prime-time baseball. The Cubs then beat the Reds 4-2 in 2022, the most recent Field of Dreams matchup before the Twins-Phillies game.
The venue, next to the filming location of the iconic 1989 film “Field of Dreams,” has undergone renovations and expansion since the 2022 game, preparing for the third edition of this special MLB event.
