Kellyanne Conway offers political analysis on Fox News amid 2026 midterm season

Kellyanne Conway offered political analysis on Fox News in late June 2026, weighing in on Democratic primary results as the 2026 midterm season heats up. The former Trump White House counselor and Fox News contributor argued that progressive and socialist victories in Tuesday’s Democratic primaries do not signal a broader political shift nationwide, instead characterizing the wins as reflections of specific districts only.

Conway told Fox News Digital that candidates she characterized as “anti-America” may find success in “very curated, specific districts” but are unlikely to resonate with voters across the country. “I don’t think that plays everywhere,” she said. “That’s not aligned with the values of this country. It’ll happen in very curated, specific districts, but it won’t happen everywhere.”

The remarks came after a slate of progressive and socialist candidates scored high-profile victories in Tuesday’s Democratic primaries, fueling debate over whether the Democratic Party is shifting further left ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. Conway pointed to what she described as “a lot of anti-American, anti-Israel candidates winning” in the Democratic primaries, but maintained their appeal would remain limited and jurisdictional.

Conway also cited polling data on patriotism to reinforce her argument about the Democratic Party’s activist wing being out of step with most Americans. She said she was “very disturbed” by results showing 90% of Republicans say they are extremely or very proud to be American, compared to only 29% of Democrats. Conway argued these results underscore what she sees as a defining issue for voters heading into the midterm elections.

When asked about her ex-husband, anti-Trump conservative attorney George Conway, who ran to replace retiring Rep. Jerry Nadler in New York’s Democratic primary, Conway replied simply, “Not at all,” when asked if she was surprised by his loss. Conway, a prominent critic of President Donald Trump, had been seeking to represent New York’s 12th Congressional District but failed to advance from the crowded primary.

Conway made her remarks while attending a Capitol Hill ceremony commemorating the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary, where organizers completed a time capsule to be preserved for the next 250 years. She said she hopes “all Americans are very excited” to celebrate the country’s milestone.
