Jacqui Heinrich weds Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick in NYC ceremony

Fox News Senior White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich and U.S. Representative Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania were married on June 20, 2026, at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City, marking a union that brings together a journalist and a congressman in a high-profile political ceremony.

The couple exchanged traditional vows in a full Catholic mass officiated by Cardinal Timothy Dolan before celebrating with more than 300 guests aboard the Horizon’s Edge Yacht in a Sinatra-era Americana-themed reception. The nighttime celebration featured a 10-piece brass band and a cruise around the Statue of Liberty, with guests served Atlantic salmon, French-cut chicken breast, or black angus short ribs for the plated dinner.

Heinrich, 37, wore a custom Galia Lahav corseted mermaid gown that transformed throughout the day. Working with seamstress Vera Skenderis and the team at Bridal Reflections, the bride customized the dress with a lace high-neck bolero and detachable overskirt, allowing her to wear the full ensemble for the ceremony, a sleeker silhouette for the reception, and finally a strapless sweetheart look for dancing.

A Meeting on Capitol Hill

Fitzpatrick, 52, and Heinrich first met while working on Capitol Hill. After Heinrich shifted from covering Congress to the White House beat, Fitzpatrick invited her to be his guest at the Kennedy Center Honors—and had to clarify he meant it as an actual date. “He then waged a charm campaign to win me over with a series of progressively more thoughtful dates,” Heinrich recalled in an exclusive interview with People magazine. “It worked. He still denies being first to fall in love.”

Fitzpatrick is a former FBI agent and federal prosecutor who represents Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District. He was born on December 17, 1973, and has built his career around bringing people together across party lines. The couple’s wedding itself reflected this bipartisan spirit—former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy and former Senator Joe Manchin both toasted the newlyweds.

Family Heritage Woven Into the Day

The couple emphasized that New York held deep significance for both their lives. “It was Jacqui’s first assignment as a network news reporter and Brian’s first assignment as an FBI agent,” they told People. “Brian’s parents are both from New York, where their own parents settled after immigrating from Ireland via Ellis Island. Likewise, Jacqui’s great-grandparents immigrated to New York after arriving from Hungary.”

Meaningful family tributes dotted the celebration. Jacqui’s parents were married aboard the Spirit of Boston, so the couple chose a yacht reception as a fitting homage. For their cake-cutting song, they selected an Irish tune written by Brian’s great-uncle, an NYPD officer killed in the line of duty—a special way to honor his memory and Brian’s family history. The bride walked down the aisle to “Trumpet Voluntary in D Major” by Jeremiah Clarke and danced their first dance to “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” by Frankie Valli before cutting their three-tiered red velvet cake with buttercream ruffles and rosettes.

The couple said they plan to take a honeymoon in the summer of 2027 and are still working out plans to complete their engagement trip to the South of France, which was cut short due to congressional votes. “Merging homes in separate states — TBD!” they shared, noting they’re both excited to start a family together. “One of the things we admire most in each other is our dedication to our work and our sense of purpose.”
