Star Meat Delivery Inc. recalled approximately 167,639 pounds of raw pork, beef and goat products after the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service found the items were produced without federal inspection, the FSIS said.
The FSIS announcement on Sept. 22 says the recalled products carried a false mark of inspection with establishment number “EST. 1363” and were produced at Star Meat Delivery’s Lucama, N.C., facility before being shipped to a distributor, A&D Foods, in Georgia for further distribution nationwide.
The notice lists dozens of boxed, vacuum-packed items under the A&D Foods label—including ribeye slices, oxtail, short ribs, pork chorizo and goat cuts—and says the products were packed into cardboard boxes for shipment on various dates prior to Sept. 22, 2026.
FSIS classified the recall as High – Class I for products “produced without the benefit of federal inspection.” The agency said the issue was discovered during its surveillance activities and urged consumers and businesses not to eat, sell or serve any product bearing the false “EST. 1363” mark.
The agency added there are no confirmed reports of illness or injury linked to these items and said consumers with concerns should contact a healthcare provider. FSIS also provided contact information for Star Meat Delivery’s media office manager and the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline for questions.
This recall, reported widely by U.S. outlets, is part of ongoing enforcement work by FSIS to identify misbranded or uninspected meat in commerce; the agency posted product label images and said it may update the list as more information becomes available.
