Apple is opening a new 10,000-square-foot store at The Village at Meridian, an outdoor shopping complex just outside Boise, Idaho, expected to launch in September 2026. The store will mark the tech giant’s second location in the Boise area, more than 16 years after its first Idaho store opened at Boise Towne Square in 2010.
The new Apple store will occupy a prime location at 3300 E. Longwing Lane, Suite 130, in Meridian, situated next to a similarly-sized Pottery Barn. Building permits filed with the City of Meridian value the store improvements at $8 million, according to BoiseDev. The general contractor for the project is SAJO Inc., which performs extensive work for Apple.

The Village at Meridian expansion represents a significant retail development for the Boise region. The shopping center is expected to open its initial stores in September, with the full expansion completing by February 2027. Beyond the Apple store, the complex will feature Pottery Barn, Alo and Vuori athletic apparel shops, Kendra Scott jewelry, Tecovas, Tempur-Pedic, and Gorjana, along with restaurants including The Capital Grille, Paris Baguette, Culinary Dropout, and Flower Child.

Apple’s expansion into Meridian follows the company’s broader strategy to deepen its presence in regional markets. According to reporting from industry analysts, Apple plans to open or renovate approximately 50 stores globally by 2027, targeting Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America to strengthen market penetration and brand presence. The Meridian location represents the company’s continued investment in secondary markets outside major metropolitan centers.
The original Apple Store at Boise Towne Square, which opened on September 11, 2010, was notable for being Idaho’s first Apple retail location. It also earned distinction as the first Apple Store in the nation to reopen after COVID-19 closures in 2020, according to BoiseDev. The Meridian store will complement rather than replace this location, giving the Treasure Valley region two dedicated Apple retail destinations.
