Sony and Rockstar Games are opening preorders for two limited-edition GTA VI DualSense controllers beginning September 10 at 10 a.m. local time, offering fans a Vice City-inspired accessory to pair with the game’s November 19 launch. The black and white controllers will retail for $84.99 USD each and are available through PlayStation Direct and select retailers.
The controllers capture the essence of Vice City through distinct designs. The white edition embodies the city at daybreak, featuring white sands and pastel skies, while the black edition captures Vice City’s iconic nightlife energy. Both feature a shimmering, color-shifting finish that blends the hues of a Vice City sunset with neon light glows, custom palm tree details molded directly into the controller, and official GTA VI branding.

In the United States, preorders begin September 10 at 7 a.m. PT and 10 a.m. ET through direct.playstation.com, with free launch day delivery for eligible orders. The controllers will also be available through participating retailers in other regions. Both editions launch on November 19, 2026, the same day GTA VI arrives on PlayStation 5.
The DualSense controllers are engineered to enhance the GTA VI experience through PlayStation 5’s advanced features. According to Sony’s announcement, the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers will instantly respond to in-game action, providing dynamic resistance that brings the story of protagonists Jason and Lucia to life in players’ hands. Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, has been building momentum for the game’s release, which represents one of the most anticipated launches in gaming.

Limited-edition game controllers have become a standard marketing tool for major releases. The GTA VI controllers follow similar tie-ins from other major franchises, including the 007 First Light DualSense released in 2026 and the Last of Us limited edition from 2025, both priced at the same $84.99 level. Sony has released multiple limited-edition DualSense variants in recent years, with demand often leading to quick sellouts on PlayStation Direct.
The controllers are available in limited quantities, and PlayStation has noted that availability may vary by country and region. Players interested in securing a pair ahead of GTA VI’s launch should mark September 10 on their calendars, as previous limited-edition PlayStation controller releases have sold through preorder allocations quickly.
