Kiggans, a Navy veteran and nurse practitioner, won the seat in 2022 after Luria served two terms representing the district from 2019 to 2023. Kiggans was re-elected in 2024 with 50.8% of the vote, maintaining her narrow hold on the highly competitive seat.
