Live Nation Entertainment, the parent company of Ticketmaster, reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $7.7 billion, up 9% from the prior year, as nearly 49 million fans attended shows globally and concert ticket sales reached record levels. The company announced the results on July 30, 2026, beating both analyst earnings and revenue expectations.
The earnings beat was significant: Live Nation delivered earnings per share of $1.05, surpassing the consensus estimate of $0.66 by 59%. Revenue of $7.67 billion exceeded Wall Street’s forecast of $7.53 billion by 1.8%, according to multiple financial analysts tracking the results.

Concert attendance, the company’s core business, drove the growth. Concerts revenue reached $6.4 billion, up 8%, while fan count hit 49 million, up 10% year-over-year. International markets powered much of this expansion, with international attendance at stadiums, arenas, and festivals all climbing more than 20%, and international markets driving 10% of the total attendance growth by adding approximately five million fans to the record total.
Ticketmaster, the ticketing platform that has faced regulatory scrutiny in prior years, also delivered strong results. The division reported revenue of $852 million, up 15%, with adjusted operating income climbing 14% to $331 million. The platform sold 90 million fee-bearing tickets, up 8%, with concert tickets accounting for 90% of the growth and international markets selling 39 million tickets, up 12% with gross transaction value up 20%.
CEO Michael Rapino attributed the momentum to sustained consumer demand for live events. “More artists are on the road than ever — and fans keep choosing to be in the room with them, driving the strongest concert ticket sales we’ve ever seen,” Rapino said in the earnings announcement. More than 143 million tickets had sold through mid-July, over 14 million ahead of last year’s pace, with mid-teens ticket sales growth across stadiums, arenas, and amphitheaters.

The company’s deferred revenue — money collected for future events — hit a record $6.4 billion, up 25%, signaling accelerating activity in the second half of 2026. This metric is closely watched by analysts as an indicator of forward-looking demand and business health.
Sponsorship and advertising revenue also grew, reaching $383 million, up 12%, fueled by international expansion. The number of strategic sponsorship partners earning over $1 million annually increased over 20%, with associated revenue up double digits.
For the full year, Live Nation expects fan attendance to grow 10%, with the company projecting double-digit adjusted operating income growth. The company is also investing heavily in venue expansion; its Venue Nation division is on track to host close to 75 million fans in 2026, up double digits year-over-year, with a pipeline of more than 25 large venues expected to open through the end of 2027.
