Kosovo increases the export of wood products
Prishtina, 10 December 2007 - The Kosovo wood processors have increased their exports to 3 million Euros during 2007. According to them, they export in many regional and European countries, and even further. Hashim Deshishku, the head of the Wood Processors’ Association, said that the wood industry in Kosovo has successfully developed and it can be proven with the export. “The export in 2006 reached some €1 million, whereas in 2007 it reached €3 million,” said Deshishku.
Besim Beqaj, Head of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, said the economy of Kosovo increased for three percent. He added that by entering into CEFTA, Kosovo became more competitive in the wood industry and increased its export rate.
