Kosovo: energy prices increase only for large consumers

Prishtina, 4 May 2007 - The Kosovar Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) has approved on 31 May the new energy tariffs. The final tariffs are similar to old ones, but they do have a new structure.

According to a press release issued by ERO, the new tariffs will be applicable from the first of June 2007. There will be no increase of prices for small and medium consumers who spend 200 - 600 KW hours of energy per month. The consumers who spend up to 1000 KW hours of energy per month will receive electricity bills with an increase of 3.4%.
