Prishtina, 26 January 2007 - The Bid Evaluation Committee for the second mobile telephony operator selected four companies to continue the further competition. The four selected are: Mobilkom Austria, IpkoNet consortium Telekom Slovenija /Mobitel, Team Kosova and Cosmocell. The Committee dismissed two companies: the German IWH-International and another company, whose name TRA did not reveal. Newspaper Zeri claims to possess the document, which sets out the evaluation criteria: the extent of coverage (value 60 points); local participation – local partnership and management, planned number of local employees (value 40 points); service quality and service range (value 20 points); experience in telecommunication area (value 20 points) and highest bid (value 60 points). The Committee comprises representatives of UNMIK, Kosovo Government and TRA. The bids of the four qualified companies are expected to be opened within next two to three weeks. ECIKS |
