Prishtinė, Nov 17, 2004 – The Democratic League of Kosova (LDK) announced today that it has reached a coalition agreement with the Alliance for the Future of Kosova (AAK), the Albanian Christian-Democratic Party of Kosova (PShDK) and the Non-Serb minorities, KosovaLive informs.

"We have reached an agreement with AAK, PShDK and Non-Serb minorities. Sharing of ministerial posts and modalities will be discussed later," said the spokesperson for the LDK, Lulezim Zeneli.

According to KosovaLive, Ibrahim Rugova (LDK) is expected to take over the post of the President for the second time, Ramush Haradinaj (AAK) of the Prime Minister, Nexhat Daci (LDK) of the Deputy Prime Minister and Fatmir Sejdiu (LDK) the post of the Parliament Speaker.

For the first time, Kosova will have a strong opposition, with Hashim Thaci’s Democratic Party of Kosova (PDK) and Veton Surroi’s civic movement ORA, which altogether have 37 seats.

A UN statement said the top United Nations administrator in Kosovo, Soren Jessen-Petersen, welcomed the coalition agreement but is awaiting details of the deal.
